Charity Family Fun Day

Henley-on-Thames

Sunday 20th May 2012.

On Sunday 20th May a Family Fun Day will be held at the home of Sir William and Lady McAlpine at their home at Fawley Hill, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire. This is in the private 200 acres of their grounds and access is normally by invitation only. Sir William McAlpine has a full size steam Railway, over a mile long in his garden, which has the steepest gradient of any railway in Britain. There is also a very large Railway Museum and model railway. Whilst in the grounds are many exotic animals. On the day there will also be a mini fairground for children.

The reason for the day is to raise money for a Centre for Disabled Children in Henley.

There will be a number of vintage Rolls Royces attending and I have been authorised as part of the 50th year of Cortina to invite club members and owners of Cortina's along with their cars at no charge and we will display them close to the Roll's. Further information on the location can be found by typing 'Fawley Hill' into a search engine.

However I will need to know in advance who is attending as tickets to the public will be pre-sold and exhibitors booked in advance. If on the day you are not pre-booked as an exhibitor or not holding a ticket then entry will be refused.
